How does the virtual 5K race work?
The Mirror Image Arts Virtual 5K Race works by giving you total flexibility. After you sign up, you choose when and where to complete the distance—whether that’s outside, on a treadmill, solo, or with friends. Run, walk, hike or bike at your own pace within the race timeframe (May 11 - 17th), then submit your results online. You’ll have the satisfaction of completing a 5K and supporting the mission and work of Mirror Image Arts.
No traffic, No parking issues, No Crowd. JUST IMPACT!
Awards will be given for: Fastest time, Best dressed, Most scenic Route, Most funds raised, Biggest Group, Cutest Race Dog.
1 REGISTER: Choose how you want to participate.
Run, Walk, Hike, or Bike. Go Solo or go with a group. Make an impact by participing in one or all of these ways:
A) Make a donation when you register.
B)Raise Funds by sharing out your race with friends and family through a peer to peer fundraising page (we will make this for you).
C) Can’t make a donation at this time! You can still register.
2 RACE PACKAGE: Once you register you will be sent your digital race package through email. Race packages will include your race certificate, bib and fundraising instructions.
3 TIME TO RACE: Set a time to run, walk, hike or bike either during the race period or on your own schedule. You can run or walk on a road or treadmill and either alone or with a group of friends. It’s all about setting a goal to complete the race distance and to support the mission of Mirror Image Arts. You will be sent instructions on how to log your race time.
4 SHARE: When you complete your MIA Virtual Race, grab your certificate and take a selfie. Please share your accomplishment with the Mirror Image Arts community on social media using #race4restorativetheatre
5 RUN FOR RESTORATIVE THEATRE™: You will be proud that not only did you complete a 5K, but you also helped disrupt the pipeline to prison. By participating in the Mirror Image Arts Virtual Race, your registration donation gives youth in Colorado access to Restorative Theatre™ and helps us accomplish our mission.
