They Arrived, Listened and Responded- Our First, First Friday
August 05, 2013 | in What's Happening
First Friday on Santa Fe can be hectic. People are clearly out for an evening on the town when navigating the sea of musicians, food trucks and artists. It was a bit daunting at first. But our anxieties were relieved when the evening started out with people clearly interested in the art from The Challenge Foundation students. These insightful pieces opened up opportunities for conversations with our amazing team. The reactions people had to the program were honest and the response was clear, “what schools are you in and are you coming to this school, county, district.” We could only reply, we want to be in all of them and we can do it with your help.
People are ready to help.
While this is just a snippet of things to come, our maiden voyage with the public was phenomenal. Our Board of Directors were there in full force guiding conversations to what Mirror Image Arts is doing and how we intend to change the face of bullying in Colorado Public Schools. It was all done thanks to Spark Theater Denver, The Challenge Foundation and many new friends who happened to cross our path on First Friday, August 2nd, 2013.
