Lisa Ann Gaylord is proud to be returning to Mirror Image Arts (MIA) as one of their teaching artists. Lisa was a part of the first project MIA produced in 2008 by understudying and eventually taking over the role of ‘Carly’ in the eating disorder awareness show “Breaking the Silence”. It was this introduction to social justice theater that fueled Lisa to continue her acting career by going to school in NY at Adelphi University for her BFA in Theatre. After graduating in 2013, Lisa traveled and performed in Chicago, Southern CO, and Alaska. She is happy to be back in her native state of CO where she is a professional actress and teaching artist for several organizations in the Denver-metro area. Doing this inspiring and life-changing work is what made Lisa passionate about theatre. She hopes that through the programs at MIA she can give back to the community that helped foster her love and passion; and in turn she can continue spreading the joy of learning theatre and discovering one’s own voice and value.
A recent graduate from Metropolitan State University with a degree in Theatre, Amanda plans to use her degree to make a difference, inspire and make an impact in the lives of others. Amanda has been actively performing and doing Theatre throughout her college education. She recently was in a Touring Company at MSU Denver, “Water Wise Circa 2015,” performing for middle school students on conserving water. Amanda is immensely passionate about theatre for social change and empowering children through Theatre. She is extremely excited to be a part of Mirror Image Arts for that very reason. She believes everything that Mirror Image Arts stands for is inspiring, and is so excited to have the opportunity to be apart of such a dynamic organization, that shows her everyday that every voice matters. She is excited to work with children for the second time doing Theatre for social change, and this time, being able to be a Teaching Artist and impact the children, as she strongly believes in the importance of impacting children
